One other cost of a war with Iraq is that it would be strongly contrary to the centuries-old principle of international law against preventive wars, the principle by which Americans have always distinguished the bad guys from the good guys. A U.S. violation of this principle may invite a more general breakdown of this important principle. A third cost of a war with Iraq would be the casualties of innocent people, both Americans and Iraqis, casualties that are likely to be high in an urban end-game for the Iraqi regime.

American prestige will be remade soon after when the Iraqi nation is set once again on it's feet and the long 30year reign of this madman is absent and peace , with state-sponsored terrorist tribal Nepotism is replaced with democracy.
Then you can vote Bush out of office, or move to France for all I care...but the free nation of Iraq will exist and be ready to endure to define their own destiny at last with support from US.
Germany and France can continue to live in their socialist dream world-utopias, with all the hidden agendas. But they will be there afterwords , you bet , to help in the nation-building.
