I think Turkey became a big Question Mark after the November election, when Erdogan's party took control. We were hopeful that Turkey would continue as secular as it had before, but it is changing, becoming less secular. Not the only piece of the puzzle, but probably a significant one.

No real surprise, Erdogan is out front about being an Islamist, with the desire to install Shari'a law in Turkey.

I don't think anyone really knew, not even Erdogan.
