You point out another interesting difference between us. I am affected by the account of people's torture and pictures of Saddam's genocide. Just as you say "Big deal" to the plight of a frightened Iraqi scientist, I see it as part of a vast array of accounts that all add up to one thing, that Saddam is a saddistic despot oppressing his people. Saddam doesn't let your "credible" news outlets interview his people in private or conduct polls, all we can glean of the regime is what scarred refugees tell us, and obviously that has no meaning for you.
