I thought Paul Kedrosky's recent article on RM about the death of the market was we know it due to domination of programg trading was very interesting

anyone care to discuss how you might trade or invest in such an environment?

if there are no actual "trends" as we now know them (ref to his random graph),then is buy and hold a strategy? or maybe buy and hold until you have a profit and then sell before the randomness takes the profit?

maybe theme investing a la Karshner at UBS Paine Webber
would be in?
