Program trading was one of many causes in the 1987 collapse. There is always a bull market in some stocks. I don't buy his thesis. "A market dominated by program trading is not a market that can be read and ascribed human emotions. " I think he fails to look at volume as an indicator of a reason a stock rises and fall.
