Chairman Jerry Sanders, who co-founded the company in 1969 and was its CEO until April 2002, was paid $916,838 last year. He received no bonus and no options, but he did get another $183,851 for the use of company vehicles and $133,494 for use of the company airplane. He also received $718,373 in "other compensation", which includes a deferred cost-of-living salary adjustment and premiums paid on individual insurance policies
AMD is losing hundreds of millions, and Jerry "Bend Over" Sanders makes out like a bandit. Does this not make anyone here a little sick?
Not to mention that CEO Hector Ruiz gets a 16% raise, and in return for forfeiting his bonus, he gets more than 2x his previous year's options. AMD sounds like a great place to work, as long as you're a greedy executive. I'm sure the employees are thanking them for the layoffs. |
