A righteous discussion happens when one does not try to pretend that there are no differences.
Here are some questions that will clarify the differences.

1 What happens to your body when you die Brian?

2 Why (according to you) did Jesus rise in His physical body but then returned in 70 A.D. in a non- physical body?

3 Why do all the early church writings disagree with your position? How could they all miss this event?

4 Why do weeds still grow in my garden and why does death still remain undefeated?

These will do for a start. If you answer them honestly then people will see what it is that sets you apart from Christianity.
