Lower taxes for the very rich creates an imbalance.
Just like flat taxes. If the rich dont pay more, society as we know it goes bankrupt. We can see that begining to happen now under Bush.

The US already has the lowest taxes for the rich of any developed country. We're a tax haven already. Especially the estate tax cuts are just making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Not to mention creating enormous deficits we cannot pay off unless we cut social programs even more.

Either way the middle-class and poor lose big and the rich win big. The GOP really is the party for the very rich. But not necessarily OF them. Ironically most GOP voters are not even well-educated. A lot of Joe Sixpacks. They're voting for right-wing social reasons or military reasons or even racial reasons. Ironic isn't it? Much of the GOP base is being hurt by their own programs.
