No, religious freedom would be to take it out of the official version and then allow anyone who wants to to add it.

The Founding Fathers would strongly disagree with you.

Otherwise, the "freedom" is to allow government-run schools to promote God. That cannot make sense to me, and it never will.

Saying the "Pledge" is not "promoting God".
