And what about people whose religions don't call their Supreme Being "God"?

I'd say that we'll never satisfy everybody, so why not satisfy the majority?

I just think this issue is a waste of time. The constitution forbade forming a state religion. Having the word God in the pledge is a far cry from doing that, therefore it's not an issue. People that get their hair raised over little stuff like this are pressing an agenda more than they are really offended by the word being there (IMO of course).

I'm a Christian, and I would hate to see the words removed, but I wouldn't really care that much either. I think all of the kids should be required to say it for patriotic reasons. I'm not trying to indoctrinate kids to my religion by sneaking in the word "God" once in awhile <g>.

But you are also going way overboard if you remove that instance, then change all the money etc. That's just absurd.
