Scott, God shall wipe away all tears- in Heaven after a Christian passes from the flesh into eternity. Paul himself said that the Gospel has already been preached to the world. (The world as he knew it in the 1st century.) The futurist says Christ has not returned although there are sufficent scriptures that prove that Christ said he would return in that generation. For you and many others to deny that fact has weakened the Church as nothing else has. Futurism has many thinking that since the Lord will return in a few minutes or a few years causes belief that there is no reason for us to work for the cause of Christ since the time is so short. Hal Lindsay and many others have CHANGED there predictions because nothing has happened for three hundred years although your belief teaches imminent return in the near future. The Christ haters have good reason to charge that Christ lied to his disciples about the Parousia because of the futurists refusal to look at the scriptures and believe that Christ did, in fact, return in 70 AD in judgement against the Jews as promised, taking away that doctrine of man's traditions. If you love Christ, and believe him to be a true prophet whose words came true, then you have to believe that he did return in 70 AD. He tried to make light of scripture but I take his post as truth that Christ did what he said he was going to do. Destroy the Jewish economy and ressurect the dead.(Josephus confirmed this in his writings.) Read all of this.
