Seems to me that Saddam Hussein has already inflicted an enormous defeat on the the US. Not militarily of course, but the Bush obsession with Iraq has split the western "alliance' down the middle and revealed naked for all to see the UGLY face of modern day American imperialism amd its total subordination to the racist Likudnik Israeli government.
