Again, all I can say is that I just can't get into this Preterism stuff. I've read it all, prayed about it, talked to other Christians about it - and it just doesn't check out. In fact, this one couple in their late 80's that have been Christians for over 60 years had never heard of it.
You say, "For you and many others to deny that fact has weakened the Church as nothing else has."
I say that I can only respond from what I have seen in my church. I've witnessed people coming to know the Lord, I've witnessed the Lord changing hearts for the better (including my own), and I have witnessed miracles. These are not signs of a "weakened" church! In reality, these are signs of a church strengthened by God's hand....and I didn't even know what Preterism was until just a few weeks ago.
You say, "Futurism has many thinking that since the Lord will return in a few minutes or a few years causes belief that there is no reason for us to work for the cause of Christ since the time is so short."
I honestly don't know any Christians that think this way and I've gone to several spirit filled churches in Edmond and North OKC. So, of course now I'm kind of curious as to where you're running into these futuristic Christians that think there is no reason for us to work for the cause of Christ?
I know that I will never believe in the Preterist viewpoint simply because I have witnessed God's hand in my life and my spiritual relationship with Christ has grown without it...like I said, I just became aware of the Preterist viewpoint a few weeks ago.
