Actually, I AM the voice of reason on the Bush thread and many have told me so. Not bragging but way too many right-wingers act like dittohead schoolyard kids calling names, seeing life in black and white, good versus evil BS, believing everything out out of the right-wing propaganda machines and repeating the silliest character attacks on anyone who disagrees with their Imperial GW Bush.

I see Bush as the Emperor with no clothes, a clever and charming corrupt con-man and perhaps the worst president we've ever had.

I like a good serious debate about real issues that matter to us all. Honest debate however is not something the right-wing invites or wants to take part in these days, maybe because if fact and common sense were to prevail, they would lose the debates. As it is, they have to resort to outright falsehoods, false promises, scare tactics and stove-calling-kettle-black deflections to get through any debate.

It will be a joy to watch Bush try to debate a brilliantly honest man like John Kerry. Ask William Weld what that's like. Kerry is going to be very-very tough for Bush to beat on any issue. His logic, passion, smarts and courage will resonate way beyond Bush's spin zone and photo ops type campaign. Kerry will also make it very difficult for Bush to talk about the military as an issue. If he does, their war records will be compared. Deserter versus Silver Star winning triple Purple Heart war hero. Not good for Bush at all, especially since war is really his only winning issue.

If I were a gambler I'd go to vegas and put all my money on Kerry. It's a winner. I called Clinton too by the way, long before the Iowa caucuses when no one had even heard of him. Saw him on C-SPAN and he reminded me of the midwestern Methodist preachers in my family. I knew that would wake up teh heartland. And it did. DESPITE Gennifer Flowers and everyone knowing he fooled around.

I also called Reagan and Carter, going way back. I called Bush only by telling people it was going to be close as can be. And it was. This time, with Kerry running with a moderate southerner, or the like, I see like father like son. It's the economy, stupid. And no matter how much money GW has, you can't sell the same faulty bill of goods twice, unless people are cowed into being suckers by another 9-11 or just war. That is the one wild card. But even then Kerry could win with his military expertise. Especially if he runs with McCain.
