Z, just realize that there are people desperately trying to remove God from the picture, only to replace Him with some other "god." If you doubt this, just read the words of Michael Newdow himself, the atheist on a crusade to remove God from the Pledge: cnn.com My daughter is in the lawsuit because you need that for standing. I brought this case because I am an atheist and this offends me, and I have the right to bring up my daughter without God being imposed into her life by her schoolteachers. By the way, Michael Newdow claimed to be speaking for his daughter, when his daughter actually wants no part in the case: kovr13.com (Newdow later changed his story and now claims the case never really dealt with his daughter.)
