No, No, No, Jochen, "serious consequences" has a specific meaning in diplomatic language--it means military action. What, exactly, are these countries doing to block war preparation? Turkey's "no" is a far more serious obstacle The French, specifically, by all but saying that they'll veto a war resolution, are putting the screws to the US's good friend, Tony Blair, whose electorate will go with him only if there is an UN resolution.
