Of the $6 trillion in federal debt, about $1 trillion is owed to SS.

Are you saying that there is no hope of redemption for the holders of the other 5/6 of our debt?

If honoring the SS debt held by the Treasury will impact our economy, what will honoring the 5/6 non SS portion of the debt do?
