We have sold Iraq many-many weapons. They were armed and trained by us during the Reagan years. Rumsfield was one of our point-men then. That's why Saddam was "shocked" when we came to Kuwait's rescue. But that was then and this is now. same is true of Osama of course when he was fighting the Soviets. Ironic.
