I believe HP has, coincidentally, about $15B of Goodwill on its balance sheet: yahoo.marketguide.com Perhaps there's some concern about its value. As I recall, Sun recently wrote down almost all of the goodwill they were carrying. It's not clear to me HP won't find itself in the same situation. JMHO. Charles Tutt (SM)
