Elect , I know you are very busy , and have McRitchie(bless his "literal" soul, hehe) under your fingernails at the moment here ....
but when you bold or italicize parts of my posts , try not to include parts of your former posts alonside with mine , to make them seem homogenous . Kind of disupts the image of "intent" of what the content of my response was to you. Also you are very selectively ignoring the main questions that I had asked.
I always have had this experience with some "Christians" , that cannot reply to any other suggestions or reason except with the impotent reply of
"You are a Christ-Hater , if you question the divine authority of The Scritpture"
this always makes me completely doubt the entire Gospel and it's completely dour and funeral dirge theology and world view , and completely melodramatic martyr-complex matrix , that is so seriously infused with.
Belief in truth , justice , right , civic duty , family responsibility, moral obligation , humility , wisdom and reason etc.... has always come from the sacrifices and efforts of many (though rare in time). But no one group , people , religion , politic , king, tyrant, Pharoah, or rabbai from Gallilea ever had this aspect of the entire world in the palm of their hands. The history of the world is a vast and intricate mosaic , created thru time and evolution , and the gathering of experience of the many components our race. And many , many noble men (and women). And please don't give me the standard Christian apologetic line of how Christianity gave everything good in the world , to the world . It's pure propagandized BS.
If you think Jesus was unique in being crucified , my post also mentioned 6,000 others that were crucified at one time along the roads to Rome . You say God's word is only found in the Bible , and I see it quite differently as a work of lierature , composed by many writers most of unknown origins and assembled compiled and collected into coherent form , centuries after the events it describes.
I could show instance after instance of what wisdoms that were spoken in the Old Testament, were in fact borrowed sayings and wisdom of the pagan Greeks and others , borrowed by the Jew. And on down thru the New Testement Bible , that Paul and the earliest Church Fathers also borrowed most everything that gave in solidity to such an airy collection of superstitious fable.
The world would have gone on , with or without a Jesus or the Jew or a "Christ" , and that is the the ultimate thing obvious for anyone to see. If Jesus had never been born , never risen , never came the second time around , there would have been another "Christ" , I assure you , and the sun would have come up just the same the next morning.
This is the only acceptable truth of something so "vast a concept" and "Being" we call God ...and Christians , Moslems , and the Jew had better learn someday to truely learn to appreciate this...that they themselves , in the end and thru time , are only small parts of the entire mosaic. |
