And Karen these drones etal are not designed for israel who would nuke iraq in a heartbeat. With israel deterrence works until a saddam still in control going down the tubes decides to do something crazy. Those drones were meant for the saudis, the iranians, the syrians, the tiny gulf states as a way for him to gain total regional control. Thats what he is after. And sometimes i think that we could live with that given the level of public support we dont receive. I think saddam of arabia would be happy to have america as a trading partner. In the days of real realpolitik the old europe would cut a deal with a regional warlord--perhaps thats what they are doing now. mike PS OY i hope this wasnt a rant.
