You mean by our friend and ally during the 1980s Saddam Huessein? The U.S. said nothing about Saddam's gassing of the Kurds or threats to Isreal when he was our ally in the 1980s against Iran. Now, Saddam is the big bad enemy. Then, he was our ally. Saddam has always been a bad guy. It's just that now the government tells you he is.
