Well, perhaps Israel should allow in world media - perhaps BBC, CNN and even Fox - so that they could see what was happening? Why do you suppose foreign media are blocked from these areas?

Personally, I presume it's obfuscatory. So we cannot tell what the truth is, between these two accounts...
Mark Sofer, a senior Israeli foreign ministry official, told the BBC that the raid on Jabaliya was "absolutely and utterly not" a revenge attack.
"The raid in Jabaliya was carried out well after midnight when the only people roaming the streets are Palestinian killers," Mr Sofer said.
...
But Saeb Erekat, a senior Palestinian negotiator, disputed Mr Sofer's claims.
He told the BBC that four children under the age of 12 and five people aged over 55 were among the dead.

One of these men is lying. We cannot find out who if we are not allowed to have people there... my instinct is to distrust those who bar the media.
