<< The 'right of return' was/is a real issue... >>

The right of return means the destruction of Israel. While it can never be an issue, it also doesn't address the right of return of an equal number of Jews, who lost all their land and possessions, when they were forced to flee from the Arab countries.

<< Israel fears that this could be used as a pretext to flood in Arabs (why they'd want to come to Palestine, who knows!?) >>

They want to see Israel destroyed.

<< ... and Arafat is too stubborn-proud to back down ... >>

Arafat is a corrupt, unprincipled murderer, who keeps his power, by keeping his own people living in misery. Pride has little to do with Arafat's demented actions.

<< Also, the Palestinians want their capital back. Can't you see how this might be a tad touchy? >>

For the period of time that the Palestinians controlled part of Jerusalem, they destroyed and desecrated most Jewish sites, while, on the Jewish side, Israel protected Christian and Moslem sites.

Jews have had a long presence in Jerusalem, while the Palestinians have had a short, and destructive presence. Just like now, the Palestinians always leave a trail of blood and destruction, in their wake. A tad touchy? Why do you want to champion the terrorist side?

Jeffrey Dahmer was a tad touchy about not being able to eat whatever he wanted. Did that make him right?
