Kerry will govern from the middle. He stated in his recent speech that representing Massachusetts and the USA are two very different things and he wants to embrace and unify to heal the divisions in this country. That means moving toward the middle.

Kerry has very different views than Kennedy on Iraq, health care and defense, to name three big ones. And why not also bring up that Kerry votes 50% of the time with McCain and co-sponsored bills with him regularly?

The comparison to Kennedy just is a political trick. It's meant to somehow link Kerry to womanizing and drinking (which Teddy does) a la Clinton smear tactic. It's sleazy. The same could be said about Kerry-Daschle, Kerry-Feinstein, Kerry-Edwards, etc. Who cares about Kennedy except the RNC mind-games unit?
