Kerry is highly-respected in the media, on the Hill, even amongst many conservatives. You're full of it there. More importantly, Kerry ir and will be respected more and mroe by voters as they get to know him.

I watched one of those round-tables with Brit Hume with two conservatives and two moderates/liverals talking about Kerry. Every one of them agreed he was a strong candidate with a good chance. Fred Barnes admitted this reluctantly, respecting the man, obviously.

McCain said in 2000 that if Gore picked Kerry as a Veep he would have to remain neutral.

You're plain wrong. There are a few cheap-shot snipers in the press attacking Kerry, but their attacks are really weak, stretching logic and truth to the point of BS. They have nothing on him except he's "liberal from Massachusetts", a mantle he will overcome. The talk about him being arrogant is just wrong. He's warm, funny, a people-person who loves campaigning and is one of the toughest campaigners there is. Bush will be quaking in his boots if Kerry is nominated.
