Excellent idea, thames. I've been advocating that for a while: Israel pulls back to its '67 borders, the Palestinians get a state, and the US and/or UN guarantees peace in the region. Jerusalem becomes an international city, probably under UN administration. Anyone who gets aggressive deals with us or the entire international community. This actually does appear to offer a way out. But I don't see a way to that in this country. The Jewish lobby has too much money and influence. Any candidate who advocates it dies.
