First I agree that "the dollar signals a collapse". I also agree that it was a "meeting of the minds" between the neo-cons agenda, and the political strategist's (Rove et al) need for a distraction to "motivate the troops", that produced our current "policy". I also have little doubt that more "scare the pants off'um" is coming in '04. I guess where I differ from you is I'm just not as sure that the Repub strategy will work in '04. This is not because I believe the Dems are so smart, but because I believe the current administration is sufficiently "out of touch" to successfully "snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory".
