The problem will be getting the fleet carrying the 4th Armored Division through the Suez Canal without Egyptian obstinacy. Or terrorism, including the sinking of a Canal-transiting ship to block it in advance of the fleet's passage.

Since the 4th Armored is the Army's premier mechanized division, it seems a planning mistake to have placed it in a position where its entry into Iraq depends on Turkish acquiescence.
