The case is there. The only serious divergence is over how much of a chance to give coercive inspections, which would not work at all if we were not poised to attack. Every serious person on the planet, including the likes of Chirac and Clinton, knows that Saddam Hussein is a menace, and that Bush has done the world a service by forcing the issue. It is just the endgame that is in dispute.
