I enjoy that story each time I read it. I've been blessed with a poor memory and each time I read it I'm surprised by the ending. It's a short little story and it's perfection. It takes me in a complete emotional full circle and makes me feel good. One part of the story leads to the next and there wasn't any part of it that I found to be an unnecessary description. Even the tie-in about sending it to your friends. Although I find chain letters annoying, this one was different. This one was creating a nice flow of loving electrons. It helps to make the world a nicer place. It may get old friends to correspond to each other and send a message of love with out having to actually break down and say the words themselves. I got that e-mail from my two brothers on separate occasions and several of my friends. Each time I get it I feel the love or the thought they had of me in their heart. I think it's a pretty good way to get people to do something nice. Especially when many of those chain letters are passed around due to fear or greed incentives. But then again, I've been known to be a sap. -Sappy P.S. I had to go look up memetic again. What's your take? Is this chain letter like an "IF THEN GO TO LOOP"?
