I particularly resent the allusion to 9/11 as having made us more emotional, with the implication of being irrational. All it did was expose the illusion of invulnerability and make us more single- minded in securing the future...... Bingo!! The "rose colored glasses" have been removed for the forseeable future until we're relatively sure that the course of political events related to Islamo-Fascism is neutralized/reversed. Personally, I think the struggle will last through the next 10-20 years as the demographic in the muslim world will likely dictate the level of militancy.. As I've harped on over and over again, the West has an obligation (out of self-interested security) in ensuring that this baby boom amongst muslims is not co-opted by militants. And that means giving them an economic option other than Jihad. Hawk
