Steven,

Companies wishing to purchase products will sometimes do so by means of competitive bids usually submitted to 3 or more prospective suppliers. These are commonly called "RFQs" or Request For Quotation.

Improving quotations activity could imply that:

1. UTEK is getting more RFQs
2. More RFQs are being turned into orders.
3. Both of the above.

Most likely answer is "both of the above".
