Tim Re..France's quick surrender during WWII (a couple of weeks not 20 minutes) was mostly due to incompetent commanders not lack of bravery. Yes, thats what happens when the commanders turn and run. They get incompetent. Secondly, Rooney said that it seemed like 20 minutes to him. Thirdly, it could have been 20 minutes of fighting, it t the rest of the time was spent driving the tanks from the Ardennes to Dunkirk. By not putting up resistance, almost 250,000 men almost got caught on the beaches in Dunkirk. It was just pure luck that Britian had any men left to win the war eventually.
