Who the heck is Dan Niles...Feb 28 2003
7:53 AM In Play Intel estimates raised at Lehman (INTC) 16.70: Dan Niles at Lehman believes that INTC will raise Q1 rev guidance to $6.7-$7.0 bln from $6.5-$7.0 bln based on overseas strength, better ASPs, mkt share gains, and lower than expected gross margin decline; raises Q1 est to $0.13 from $0.12, 2003 to $0.63 from $0.60, and 2004 to $0.82 from $0.80 (vs consensus ests of $0.12, $0.61, and $0.82, respectively). However, firm believes that Q2 revs may sequentially decline about 3%, vs consensus of flat, due to seasonality in Europe and a falloff in demand following the Chinese New Year and Japan's fiscal year.
