Tech unemployment is rampant. I'm positive the unemployment rate in software is far north of the listed national rate of 5.8%. Very palpable in the Bay area where many are desperate. Software sales for middleware is worse than bad, it is nonexistent. I speak with about 100 CEO's, CFO's and VP sales per month and they are a sorry bunch of sad sacks living off their VC capital with nothing to show right now. (interestingly, there is still adequate funding. Adequate enough for the company top five to live on comfy six figures anyhow....)
