I agree with your short selling comment. I think it could be argued that if OBL is caught and Saddam goes without a war or a short war, then the economy may pick up. However, I am of the belief that we are in a prolonged bear market, that will trend down until at least 2005. Having said that: like I say to the gold bugs, "who knows? Anything can happen, bad news or good news." I hate betting on news. (I did today though.) I am working on market neutral approaches myself.
