Paul, <The Great Satan himself though is in the $8-a-barrel camp. No matter how the Iraq War turns out, if he doesn't hit close to that level soon enough, it's hello President Kerry.>

True enough! King George II has GOT to get the price of oil down again if he wants to hold the tiller for another term. USS Enterprise running costs are high at $30 a barrel.

He needs prices high enough to keep his mates happy, but low enough to be re-elected.

Saudi Arabia will not be invaded if they turn on the spigots and drive the price down. Kuwait had better co-operate with wide open taps too.

What about President Clinton? I bet Americans would love to see Bill back in the White House. Remember the good old days of the go go 1990s. Remember the fun and vicarious thrills of Presidential blow jobs and blue dresses, books of poems and Gennifer. A booming stock market and economy. Ah, those were the days. Sex sells and King George II is NOT sexy. Daisy cutters, terrorists, duct tape and Homeland Security are a lot less fun than laughing at Ken Starr's obsession.

Vote for Hillary and get Bill back too. Two for the price of one. I bet Chirac and Schroeder would like it too. Putin would be pleased. Hu Jintao happy. Even Kim Jong Il might cheer up and stop rattling his nukes. Our PM would get all atwitter and fall into line.
