re:oil company's bread and butter, their real income, comes from oil and refined oil products. Why wouldn't they fight to keep their market?

They have the infrastructure to develop and deliver any fuel that's economically viable. There is no reason for them to support the Middle East.

I suppose you could ask yourself why other countries haven't done so already, do you think China wouldn't benefit? They design and make a lot of cars in Korea, Japan and elsewhere around the world - they obviously have the resources to do this - assuming it could be done.

Please drop the conspiratorial nonsense it does nothing to face the cold reality that oil is just plain cheaper to use as a fuel.
