Very close to the charge they are unpatriotic, Bill. Take it easy.

No it's not, John. And to say that I am implying that is a smear, IMO. Protesting war is not unpatriotic. I get mad at them sometimes, and the one planned for the day the war starts is a bit much, IMO. But I have never said they would be unpatriotic for doing so, and I resent you saying that I am implying it.

The fact that Saddam and Kim Jong II take advantage of it is just the way it is. Saddam figures he "rope a doped" himself out of war in 98 with Clinton by using the Euros. He has made in obvious with his prolonged questioning of Dan Rather about our protests that they are important to him.

You can be sure that Kim Jung II is doing his best to scare the people in SK and here with his bombast and threatening moves. He will measure his success in doing so by the size of the payoff he can negotiate with us. Do you think he is unhappy that the Dems are demanding we start negotiating with him immediately? You know he spends time on line and reads our press. He figures he is winning, and it toughens his stance when he reads this.

So don't underestimate the time and effort these Foreign Leaders spend in trying to influence Public Opinion here. The left sure doesn't. They are constantly complaining about the Israeli influence here. And the bias of the Jewish Neocons.
