KLP wanted more than the Pravda story on Chile response to The Observer leaked document,
although the text contained "the Observer" as a source.

Maybe the interesting thing was how CHile has responded??

Anyway, the story

observer.co.uk

the leaked memo

observer.co.uk

Might be more difficult to find the story about the Japan-USA trade negotiations
in USA, where USA had bugged the telephone calls of the japanese back
to Japan during the night, morning, to be ready for next day of negotiations.

Or the EU official complaint about some contracts for (Brazil?) where it
was clear USA knew the offert of France.

That is, it is one thing for security, secrete service organisations to "collect
intelligence", another for them to hand it over to domestic corporations.

I might guess these issues might have been some source for failing "intelligence
cooperation" leading up to 9-11.
(not to forget those 48 free microphones in the Boeing delivered for the chinese
president, have not seen the end of that story)
