KLP, "I am trying to say this with care, Patricia." I appreciate the care with which you posted your reply to my comment. I will try to do the same. " Democrats and the anti-war groups are giving permission to any terrorists anywhere to cause more problems of consequence in the US" We both strive for the same end...............and that end is to make America a safer place. We differ about how to achieve that end. "Even Clinton hasn't said any such things" It is an unspoken gesture by all former Presidents not to question and criticize the others that have held that office. I do remember that Bush Sr. made a snide crack about CLinton and did apologize for it later on. They routinely support each other regardless of political party. "And those groups who are trying to undermine the US will be at fault. " It was THomas Jefferson that wrote about the duties of every citizen to speak out against the gov't if they feel it is going in the wrong direction...................it is the American way to do that.....any attempt to censor the words of others is to undermine the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Many of us believe that an invasion into the Middle east will bring down the gates of He^% upon our shores. I have seen no link between Saddam and AL Quada made by anyone and firmly believe that AL Quada alone engineered the WTC attack. How many more horridly angry people will we create when our bombs destroy their lives and families. IF I had to pick up one of my children out of a bombed out home, my wrath would be like a mother grizzly. It's my belief that Saddam can be contained without war. Tonight I listened to a radio show that was discussing how Saddam was trying to get his oil paid for in Euro dollars. If all the Arabs make a pact and demand payment in Euro's we will be plunged into a depression...........We pay 1.10 for every EUro dollar. If the Arabs pulled out of US investments ( the Saudi's especially ) we would be in a heap of trouble. Military might won't defeat us...........economics is where they may have us over a barrel. And throw in a ticked off N. Korea with their reckless "bombs away" attitude and this world may never be the same again. Somebody, somewhere has to grab this tiger by the balls and cut off the testosterone............we need to be working toward peace not escalating into war!! JMHO
