Ask any promenading Republican sign carrier if he is a sheep, and he will say, 'me no sheep', then ask him why he/she marches etc etc, and he will hang his head sheepishly. Left, right, middle, sheep are everywhere, Thinking people are not sheep, they cannot be led like sheep, nor slaughtered like sheep.
No wish to lecture, sort of an antichide.
There are sacred cows on all sides.
Unions are not really on the left any more, they have joined the middle and even the right wing in some aspects.
Taxes is a sacred cow too. Who knows best how to spend money? you or the government...obviously you do....built any highways lately? So a group effort is a valuable use of taxes, roads, police, defence, fire etc, all seem valid uses of taxing authority.
When does taxing become bad?
