Tek, while this is a mania, it is no where near the mania of the 20's where people taking out loans to invest in stocks on 90% margin. In real dollars according to Joe's chart he had linked a few days ago it took 9 years to go the same distance that we have gone in about 14. We could just have a 5 or 10% correction in here or in the fall and then move on. Some event that we will not be able to predict is what's going to set this thing off, so your strategy of lots of cash and playing options is my strategy. However, puts require precision timing and luck, shorts are even tougher. So I'm joining the Romans, though I'm not a Roman -g- Bob
