>> Intuit Drops Despite Upping Guidance <<
Intuit has (well, "had", for part of the deal) a promotion going for bundled TurboTax and Quicken products. One part was a CompUSA-specific promotion that needed a postmark by today.
On the instructions from CompUSA, they specified that you could go to www.intuitrebates.com to register the rebate. There was no such rebate listed at the website.
Ding number one.
So..... another part of the rebate was not retailer-specific. That part of the promotion WAS listed at the website. They also had a direct deposit option for the rebate, which sounded cool to me. I therefore selected that option. The trouble? I completed the entire process, selecting direct deposit, and was never asked for my account info.
Ding number two.
Given their business, they need to insure confidence in organizational skills. The market is up for grabs. I've always relied on Intuit to come through for me, last minute (given procrastination). They have, and I'll continue to pick their products.
But........
(edit..... ah, just went through the process again, this time for state TurboTax. There's a popup saying that I'll receive instructions re. the direct deposit later.) |
