Allan and William, Had the cable guy (Time Warner) out yesterday to replace my set top box. I asked him if they were ever going to get "Tivo". He said that sometime around June they will be offering a PVR, but not Tivo. I asked "why not Tivo", he said it was because it was "proprietary". FWIW. IMHO, the MSO's should offer a range of services, and let the consumer decide the winner at the given price. Why the entertainment business continues to try to dictate to the consumer is beyond me. A grocery store only stocked what they thought you should eat wouldn't last very long. These cable guys know they own the customer, and they will feed them whatever they want. John
