Meditrust recently entered into deal to acquire Santa Anita Racetrack in order to acquire paired share status which will allow them to effectively own the operating companies which lease Meditrust facilities. This is a potentially big advantage which also carries risks. If you haven't already, you should research and understand this factor.

I own MT shares partly because of the possibilities afforded by the above and partly because of the factors mentioned by Philip. This does not mean I am advising it for you.
