The Grande Ronde are not looking for land, they are looking to build economic opportunity for their people. They have plenty of land. Land is not an issue.

If this is true, maybe you can tell me why they have a land acquisition program?
The Tribal Lands Department maintains a database for all Tribal land purchases. This Department also conducts initial site assessments and performs property appraisals for land the Tribe may consider purchasing. The Tribal Lands Department also manages various Tribal properties.
