<all the things that can go wrong>

I'm sort of thinking, maybe it's time for the Doves to shut up. the Hawks have their rope, and seem very determined to hang themselves. And they will not be amenable to discussion of Alternatives, until they feel that rope, the rope they put around their own neck, choking them. Then it will be time to talk, because then they will be in the right frame of mind to listen. But till then, until they see that their methods aren't working, there is very little chance of converting any Hawks into Doves.

Afghanistan worked for them. Regime Change in Iraq will too, I'm guessing. But I am sceptical that the Nation-Building is going to go as planned. And I'm real sceptical, that the Regime Change goes as planned, in N. Korea or Iran or Syria or anywhere else.

Now, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we will Build a wonderful nation in Iraq, and the Dominoes will fall one by one, and everyone will be Shocked and Awed into submission. And if that happens, there isn't much point in Doves saying anything. But if it doesn't, then there is an Alternative, and we will have a lot to say.
