The French Could Be Goose-Stepping Right Now!

I am disgusted, however, not surprised by the lack of support exhibited by the French towards this nation, our president, and the war effort. While the French are obviously unable to defend themselves and have called on the United States not once, but twice during the last century to save them...they seemingly feel no debt of gratitude towards this country nor the thousands of American young men who gave their lives to liberate the French people.

They demonstrated their ingratitude in 1986, when they refused American jets fly-over rights to strike Libya. That mission was carried out in response to terrorist acts carried out against Americans by Moamar Qhadafi, and put the fear of God into that despot for many years to come. Today, the French are not only opposed to any U.S. led military action against Iraq, they are now actively seeking to build a coalition of other nations (primarily in Africa) to place as many stumbling blocks in our way as possible. What an outrage!

France and most of Europe is covered with little white crosses which bear the names of American servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice to free not only the nation of France but the entire continent on which it sits. As I watched the French ambassador to the United Nations make his case against the U.S. this week, I thought about how easily it could have been for him to be doing it in German.
